I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and a background in innovative nonprofit programs for youth and families, both of which wonderfully enhance my doula practice. This Social Work training equips me with a toolbox of skills for holding families through emotional transitions, easing stress, providing impactful advocacy, and gathering supportive community resources.
Over the years, I have had the honor of supporting an array of families—including solo parents by choice, teens navigating unplanned parenthood, parents healing from surgical births or experiencing challenging recoveries, and dear friends and family within my own community.
About Me
My family has been in Marin for over 16 years, inspired by living by the Bay and the beauty of Mt. Tam. My greatest joy is being the mom of two awesome boys, now much taller than me.
I was deeply transformed by my own pregnancies and birth experiences, attended by a remarkable team of midwives and empowering doulas.
I am…
• Calming, validating, responsive in the moment, a cup half-full kind of person
• Organized, resourceful
• Respectful of all kinds of families
• A dedicated mindfulness meditation practitioner with a love of learning about how mindfulness makes life less overwhelming, more delightful
Rooted in Community Care…
Accessible, responsive care for all families is something I deeply value. For this reason, I offer my services on a sliding scale and am in the process to be certified for parents who use MediCal.
I am so inspired by my work as a volunteer birth doula at Alta Bates Hospital, providing free labor support to any family who wishes it. I am also a regular volunteer at the Postpartum Support Center and Marin Diaper Bank, distributing free baby essentials for local families in need.
(Please ask me if you would ever like to donate diapers or gently used baby gear!)
